EU funded Trust and Security Research in FP7
This presentation will provide an overview of the Trust and Security research that is funded by the EU in FP7 (the ICT theme (Information and Communication Technologies)). The project portfolio contains security research on network infrastructure level as well as on application/services level, and some research projects are relevant in the context of mobile networks and the Future Internet. In particular the research that is relevant for mobile networks will be presented in more detail. The Trust and Security research area will be open in the next call for proposals (call 5) of the ICT programme in FP7 and the talk will also elaborate on this research objective in the next call.Short Biography
Bart Van-Caenegem received his Master's degree in Engineering in 1995 and his Doctoral degree in 2001 both from the Faculty of Applied Sciences of Gent University, Belgium. He is currently Project Officer with the European Commission, Directorate-General Information Society and Media, where he is involved in European Research Programme Management in the Unit 'Trust and Security'. Before joining the European Commission in 2005 he has occupied several engineering and managerial positions in the mobile operator sector in the area of network engineering and securityTop
