Keynote Speakers
Securing the Next Generation
Anand R. Prasad, NEC Corp., JapanEvolved Packet System (EPS) or SAE/LTE standardized by 3GPP recently is already being deployed worldwide. EPS has different system architecture compared to 3G and thus has different security solution. In this keynote talk we will touch on how 3GPP studied and developed the EPS security standard and what / how security works in EPS. We will then delve into how security should be developed for future or next generation systems.

Mobile Threat Trends: What's the Impact on Consumer and Corporate Users?
Selim Aissi, Chief Strategist, Mobile Security. Ultra Mobile Group. Intel CorporationWith the ubiquity of Smartphones, the once-theoretical threats are now emerging as clear and present danger. Today, there are known viruses, Spyware, and even Botnet Clients targeted for Smartphones. The dangers from the resulting threats are on the mobile users, network operators, corporate infrastructures, financial institutions, and other key players that are penetrating the mobile ecosystem on a daily basis. Dr. Aissi will cover those emerging threats, their progressions, and impacts. He will also share industry trends in providing the necessary protections against emerging mobile threats. In particular, he will cover key OS, Application, and Hardware security approaches.
